How e-commerce must evolve from rigid keyword searches to fluid, AI-driven "messy" human dialogue. Drawing from my work at Bloomreach Clarity, I’ve defined five core principles for designing these new retail experiences.

2024 was a year of growth - in work, in relationships, and in how I understood myself. My reading reflected all of it. Early in the year I was reaching for management books and memoirs about survival. By fall I was deep in identity and culture, a quiet cluster of books about what it means to belong somewhere. Scattered throughout, the sci-fi thrillers were probably just my brain asking for a break.

Coming back to California wasn't just a change of address. It was starting a new job, meeting new people, and quietly asking old questions about who I was becoming. My reading this year reflected all of it, from memoirs about identity and where we come from, and books about how to show up at work and with people. Even the cookbooks felt like an act of settling in.
